The department for didactics of religious education considers itself a forum for the academic engagement with the controversial as well as the day-to-day questions of educational practice. Furthermore, an important aim is to transfer the results of the academic discourse to the political debate on education, and, as far as possible, to provide expertise for political decisions in this area.
